Hi,
I need some help!!! I wasn't really motivated and I didn't have in mind that I wanted to do pharmacy during my freshman and halfway into my sophomore year of college. But then I started working in the pharmacy and I loved it and I want to apply to pharmacy school but my science gpa is around 2.4 right now and my cumulative gpa is around 3.1. I took my PCAT and I got the 80th percentile and I took it again last October, waiting for my results, but I'm pretty sure its either 80 or higher. I really don't have the money to apply this year if my chances of getting in are really low but I also really want to get into pharmacy school next year. What should I do? Thanks sooo much!
and I'm also going for a B.A in chemistry, should I go ahead and graduate next year with that degree and then apply??

Definitely get your degree - as a back up and become more competitive. Try retaking some classes to boost up your gpa if theres room and also take higher level classes and do well! good luck.

As the previous poster said....pursue the degree until you are a competetive applicant.

However....I'm not in favor of BA's in sciences if a BS is offered at your school. The reason? a BA in chemistry won't get you far if you can't get into pharmacy school. It may allow you to teach hs chemistry, but not much more than that. But..you may be too late to change your courses to allow pursuit of a BS.

Good luck!

Besides the difference between a BA and BS at my school is 2 classes and 4 comprehensive exams. Given that they are usually favored, it may be worth the money and time.

Triple posts FTW.

i think it would take too much time for me to switch to a bs becuase i would have to retake organic and physical chemistry with the higher levels instead of the lower levels i have to do with a B.A.
I also have 2 yrs of experience as a pharmacy technician, that helps right?
