I am currently stuck in a dilemma, and need some advises. I am taking bio chem ,and physics, today is the drop date. For bio and chem, i am looking at passing with A or b, but in physics, i am looking at a C for the final grade. There is a slight chance that i could pull out a B, but realistically that may not happen. My professor say i would have to make a 100 on the final to pull out a B.

What should i do? Drop the course and take it again, or pull out a C.
Will making a C really hurt my chances of making it into PT school?

Unless your prerequisite GPA will be greatly hurt by this C, I wouldn't drop it. Just having one C grade won't sink you...

It could hurt my Gpa,but would making an A or B in Physics II better my chances?

I think it depends on what the majority of your other science and prereq grades are. If you have other C's in those types of classes then it might be good to drop it. But if you have mainly A's and a few B's then I think you could maybe just take a C and save yourself the stress. But if you think that by retaking it you can get a sure A maybe go for it.

Bumped. Only 2 hours left, i would like to hear more advises from other peoples.

I think everyone is right saying that 1 C isn't a big deal.

With that being said... if it was me, I would drop it.

I rather have a "C" than a "W" on my transcript. In addition, one class will not hurt you. Just make sure you are a well-rounded applicant and apply early.

what if this is not my first C, would you guys still think i should drop this?

How many C's are we talking about. Just tell us, you're anonymous here 😉

english one and college algebra.
I can definitively re-take those and make an A, but i want to graduate on time,so re-taking those 3 classes could set me back, which is something i don't want.

Sometimes we ask questions that we already know the answer to.... Instinctually!

From my knowledge and reading how PTCAS calculates the GPA a "W" does not affect your GPA unlike a "C".

You have a valid question but I feel my input would lack substance due to not knowing all of your circumstances. I am curious as to what you chose to do though?

I chose to drop the course. It kind of sucks because i put a lot of time and effort into the course. Taking 3 science courses at one time is very demanding. If i only had physics, i would had easily ace it, but having tests literally back to back weekly was really hard to maintain. In addition, i couldn't afford an C on my gpa. Over all, a great learning experiences. I hope for future students reading this, DON"T TAKE MORE THAN 2 SCIENCE COURSE.

GOOD! It sounds like you made the best choice. By the way "Life is what you make it" so never stop trying. Best of success with your future goals!
