DOES ANYONE WANNA TELL ME HOW MY COUSIN GOT ACCEPTED TO WINGATE, CAMPBELL, AND GA ~ the only schools he applied to WITH A 2.85 GPA AND A 72 PCAT SCORE??!! im happy for him but i was shocked when he gave me is stats, hes a smart guy and all but he had to drop PRE CALC!!!, and retake it, and he also has NO experience!!...he simply said "bro its not as had as you think it is, or worked up to be, other friends of mine are in with slightly lower GPA's than me,"...i still think he got lucky or sumtin

haha nah hes not bsing me, it took him a year extra of pre pharm though (3), i havent talked to him in a while but hes coming in town for thanksgiving (goes to campbell)

On the PharmCas school pages it says that the minimum gpa accepted at Wingate is a 3.0. Did they waive the requirements for him?😕

no idea guy, ill get more details after he comes, but he stresses that getting in is "over hyped, and to make it sound impossible"

Most of the schools are raising their GPA on the website to make the school look good. If they say the average GPA is 3.0-3.5, expect the reality acceptance rate is actually lower. Your cousin GPA 2.85 might be a little bit low but it still at the competitive level. Some school only look at science only such as: physiology, biochem, calculus, Organic & General chemistry. I thought 72 on PCAT is a good score. I have a friend with 3.1 GPA and 89 on PCAT got in Wingate. Not that far off from your cousin. Don't believe the hype. Just apply! You'll never know!

The explanation is that there are a lot more applicants who never make it to this site. Applicants on here tend to be the ones who are willing to take the extra steps to get the best possible chance of being accepted; in other words, the ones who are sharp enough to find this sort of site. But there are thousands more who are just normal college students/grads, who don't have a brazillion hours of extra-curriculars, who haven't done research in Bolivia to find a cure for arthropod-borne diseases, who didn't get a 98 on their PCAT, wo don't have a 3.6+ GPA........ just normal applicants.

Do not be fooled into thinking the membership of this forum represents the average pharmacy school applicants.

i think i have to raise my BS flag on this one...the wingate one caught my eye b/c according to pharmcas and the adcom. (which i have already contacted numerous times) they havent even interviewed any students yet...they dont do this until jan. so i guess he got excepted w/o an interview? NO CHANCE. ACPE says all schools have to interview before issuing acceptances....i go to campbell too and i dont really know about that one either.........sounds like he is trying blow smoke......

just wanted to know whats going on with you dude. i mean you post some really weird threads like these and at one point claimed to be the son of Bruce Hart (second son of Stu Hart) but earlier said that your dad was an i/t manager?! i mean do you fabricate your life on SDN to get a rise out of us or something? i feel like every thread is complete BS. sorry just tired of this.
