I need help from all you lovely Mac lovers. I need a new Mac that is great for doing art design of booklets that are generally 16 pages. I need to put Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark and Adobe. It should be great for graphics and all that other stuff and I was hoping you all could help me out.

Also, what's the difference between a Mac Book and MacBook Pro?

Thanks!

The iMacs are powerful enough to power all you need. That's what I have (a G5, the Core 2 Duos are even more powerful). I routinely use Photoshop, but not much Illustrator or Quark.

The MacBooks are smaller (13" v 15"/17") and do not have a dedicated graphics chip. MacBook Pros are aluminum instead of white/black, have a dedicated graphics chip, can take more memory (3 GB v 2 GB), has a backlit keyboard, and has an expansion slot. The MacBook does not have an expansion slot (90% of laptop users do not need this). Is $700-1,000 extra for a Pro version necessary? Probably not unless you are a power user or you plan to use the MacBook Pro with an external 30" monitor.

Thanks so much for the help, I really appreciate it!
