Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you know how credit card debt might effect acceptance. I heard that they look into that before accepting you...but I'm not sure if thats the case.
Unfortunately, I have acumilated a big load of debt on my credit cards which i am now trying to slowly pay off...but it'll take a loooong time.
do you think this would become an issue?..... im freaking out ..

I never heard of that before and i don't think that is the case.

however, it may affect you on your loan application after you get accepted and decide to attend ds.

I know that many schools do background checks, but that's more for criminal stuff and other violations. I don't think it would effect your admissions at all, and as the above poster said, may only just show up when you try to apply for a student loan.
