Need help.. I took naplex twice n didn't pass can anyone help me how to study plzzzz I will really appreciate ?? And anyone can help me out what kind of sourced I should use or any q- bank plzzz... Is Kaplan , or ASHP q- bank is good?? I have RX prep book.

RxPrep book should be plenty. Their quiz bank helped a bit but certainly not necessary. If you couldn't pass using RxPrep, not sure what to tell you.

Start 2 months before the exam day, read rx prep once then start memorizing the second time then practice questions for 1 week, either quiz bank or a cases book (patient profiles). Once every week (or 5 business days) you should answer the 120 calculations, at least 3 times.

Rxprep should def be enough, I recommend the quiz bank though. Read 1 chapter, then move onto chapter 2, once you finish that, take the quiz for chapter 1, if you're not getting > 80% then you should review that chapter again.

Thanks a lot for ur advice I think I wasn't studying right way . I was focusing too much on disease state rather than on drugs n I totally skip ID n oncology part. Hopefully this time I WILL pass. Quick question which q- bank is good Kaplan, Rx prep or ASHP?? Or anything else ??

I really like ur idea by doing 1 chapter n then quiz, but which quiz bank?? Heard mixed review regarding Rx prep q- bank?? Which one would you recomended?? Thanks a lot for ur advice .

The Rxprep quiz bank is online, you'll have to purchase it separately or bundled with the book. I've also heard that passnaplexnow might be good but $1000+ for a prep course is kinda steep. For the exam, I did the 120 SDN calculations, and read both the RxPrep and APhA books - which is kinda overkill.

For RxPrep, if you're gonna purchase the online course/quiz bank, you might as well listen to their videos which give more detail than their prep book, plus they also give you points to focus on. And yeah, like ADN said, take the quizzes till you get 100%. Good luck!

I heard kaplan quizzes are tough and focus on things you never think of studying, everyone says they're much harder than the actual naplex. I personally like rxprep quiz bank, just buy the 30day access for $78, not too expensive, many chapters have TONS of questions so it is time consuming but if you can do well on them you should be good for the exam. Focus on brand/generics, MOA, side effects, DDI... doses and dosage forms are kind of impossible to study for, you either know it or you don't. A few days before the exam review the major topics: HTN, DM, Onc, HIV, ID, HF

Since you only have 1 more try, definitely give yourself at least 3 weeks to study... it may be overkill but i'd rather be over prepared. What helped me also is taking notes on things I didn't remember or I thought was an impt point on each chapter... BUT don't get caught up writing EVERYTHING down, it will take you forever. Just key points like major DDI and BBW etc and use that as a final review as well.

Like everyone has said before, make sure you know your math. Use the 120 SDN questions, if you're rusty with math then start with this review http://www.theceinstitute.org/CE/f9f...s Review.pdf the rxprep quizzes for calculations are good practice, most questions on the naplex will be on par regarding difficulty, you may get a few difficult ones more consistent with the 120 SDN questions so I suggest using all 3 sources for your math studying.

Also make sure you know your statistics, they're really easy points, do the rxprep quiz for the stats part, its more than enough.

Only advice i will give is use only one source for pharmacology and therapeutics (RXprep best of all and sufficifient to pass naplex). Focus mainly on Drug tables(names, dose range, formulations etc) and major SE and CI and counseling section. Go over first time slowly and highlight things you feel is imp to remember and review once you are done with the particular chapter to make sure things are clear and you remember all the main things. Then the second time it will be easy reviewing as most of the stuff will be familiar. Divide chapters into categories when you study for e.g do all the Psych chapters, GI chapters, Cardiovascular, respiratory chapters etc together so its in flow. Good luck!!! hope this helps you..
