Our pharm shelf is a pass/fail exam, so even with a 90% in-house exam average if you don't make 70 on the shelf its a fail. I'm doing well in class but our pharm class is notorious for not preparing students adequately for the shelf exam. Has anyone taken the pharm shelf lately that can direct me to focus on a certain areas or have any helpful advice on what to expect? I'm memorizing First Aid at the moment but with the sheer amount of information I would like to cut it down and focus on what may be on the shelf exam. Thanks.

Well, I personally hate all those review books since they are too long and detailed to retain any sizable amount of information without going insane. And in 3 days you aren't going to be able to plow through Lipponcott.

The only Pharmacology review that you can memorize in 3 days is a free review written by a classmate of mine and is actually very good. See if you like it: http://www.geocities.com/shortestpharmreview/index.htm

Umm, why are you taking the shelf now? Did you already fail the class or something? Class is just getting started for many people!
