Here is the deal.

I just got my scores back for the MCAT.

I am applying this cycle. My score was 27S (10P, 8V, 9B).

I am from Florida.

My science GPA is 3.05 and my cumulative is 3.4.

I never got below a 30 on any of the AAMC practice tests.

-I really need the help from the forum community - advice as to whether I should retake??
-Will it make a difference if I already sent in my applications to hurry up and retake it now?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. - Thank you

if you have already sent off secondaries schools will evaluate you based on your current mcat since you didnt mark on your primary you had a planned mcat. you could try to update schools on your new mcat score but it may not even matter if the score isn't significantly better and updated before seats start getting taken..i had the same problem. Averaged 30s, and got a 26 on the real thing. I think I would just apply if I was you but thats just my opinion. The main thing that holds you back is your science gpa. Gpa is also my issue. If my gpas were a little higher my stats would be around average. oh wells :O.

Truth is, like me you are a borderline canidate. No one here can tell if/when youll get in. You probably have a chance, like I do (without looking at your ECs), but no one knows for sure how great that chance is.

Thanks Cole. If I may ask, what are your stats? Where did you apply?

Also, is it possible that it will hurt me if I retake the MCAT now? Is there anything negative that can come from it?

Will it hurt in the sense that they won't see your new score immediately? I suppose it might. But a 27S isn't bad in the grand scheme of things, your sGPA will burn you more.

Either way, be glad you applied already.
