NEED HELP HERE!!Pass/non-pass class...

Hi guys,

I'm currently taking genetic class (science course, but I don't think its a
pre-req for dentistry though...) as Pass/Non-pass.

as of now, it doesn't look very good and I think I'll end up with NOn-pass...

I'm planning to take another genetic class over the summer which is NOT the equilvalent to this class but in hope of getting better grade for it. (cuz it's
my school major requirement)

so my question is this:
is it REALLY bad to have non-pass in my record (**NOTE that this genetic course is not required by dental schools)? I know any Non-pass is bad
but are dental schools gonna drop me like it's hot sorely because of it????

oh another burden to my situation, I got a F on organic chem and retook
it and got an A. is it bad too???

ouch. Personally, I would rather have a W than a NP on my transcript...

by the way, AADSAS records both the A and F, so its better to pass the first time around. Unless the class youre in now is a pre-req for the summer class, I would drop the one youre in now and retake.

thank you for your info.
The bad thing about this is that my school don't have W and it's way too late and impossible to drop the course... UC Berkeley rule whatever...

so you think it is really bad?????? 🙁

i had only one W on my transcript (genetics, funny enough), but only one school asked me about it and since i'm taking it this semester and have a high B so far, all is well.

you said your school has no option to withdraw, so what is the alternative? good luck.
