Hey guys, I came across this in one of the Barron's DAt books...-_-...I know...I don't understand what kind of fold is occurring after the first one. What does the line thru the middle mean???? 😕

Here it is:

THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!!

It doesn't make sense to me either. I've never seen one that I couldn't make sense of so I am quick (maybe too quick) to assume it is a mistake.

Aren't there suppose to be dotted lines to show which way it folded? In kaplan's book, they always the dotted lines. Does anyone know if the real DAT has dotted lines or not?

I'd imagine it would look something like this, though I could be wrong.

Do you have the answer?

The second figure is the same as the first one except theres a horizontal line that splits it up. The top have is still folded in but a random line shows up and I dont know what it means. The answer is a hole in upper left, lower left and lower right!??! So ur second step of folded up isn't wats drawn next.

😕 This problem is strange.

I think you should have 6 dots going upwards instead of what you have, 8. Those 2 bottom holes shouldn't be there in my opinion. Anyone?

the second figure of the problem is false! (at least according to the rest of the figures). It should be 6 holes!

I don't know, I was just trying to interpret the meaning of the original problem, because somehow, it punches a hole at the bottom left corner.

It would be 6 holes if the bottom part were solid lines, wouldn't it? There are dashed lines on the bottom, meaning it folded completely over? Again, I'm just trying to figure out what the problem meant.

And the original poster stated,
"The answer is a hole in upper left, lower left and lower right!??!"
