Need Help on application

Hi everyone
I'm filling out the AACOM application right now and I don't know what to put for the MCAT section. In the box where you're supposed to enter how many times you've taken the MCAT and the month/year taken or plan to take. I took the MCAT last year and will retake it again this august. So, do I put in 1 for the time taken (because I didnt take the 2nd one yet) and August 2005 for the month/year taken/plan to take? People told me the schools will not look at the application until after they got the MCAT score (which will be after August, and by that time, i would've taken it 2 times). I hope i'm making sense 🙂
One more question, do I send transcripts to AACOM after submitting the application or only to those schools that i get secondaries from?

Hey greenmnm,
You were making sense with your question about the MCAT, unfortunately I don't have any Idea about what you should do. You should email them to figure out what to do. I have emailed them several times and they have been quick and helpful both times. Here's an email address for you. [email protected]

As far as the transcripts question, you send all your transcripts straight to aacomas before submitting your application. If you submit before you send your transcprits then your app. just gets put on hold till they arrive so get them in asap. That's about all the help I can offer.

just label it as August of 2005...they'll figure it out.

Put that youve taken it previously and that you plan to take it again in August. I did that and was interviewed and accepted to two schools before my August scores even came out.

when i put august 2005 for my mcat it asks for my grade...should i just put all 15? =]

also, i've been on academic probation for a low gpa one semester. i did better the following semester and probation was gone. do i have to check that box?

"Check if you were ever the recipient of any action for
unnacceptable academic performance or if you were ever the recipient
of any action"

I guess I'm confused to whether action means getting kicked out or leave a semester.

Does it say anywhere on your transcript that you were?? If not, I wouldn't say anything. Worse comes to worse someone will just ask you what happened with your grades at that time in your life. I highly doubt they would be like, "...so timmah2k, yeah....ummmmm it says here that you were on academic probation...we don't see it checked off here in the box...yeahhh, you know we don't really want your kind at our school "

For all they know it could have been an oversight when filling it out 😉
