So I had planned on retaking Physics 2 as I got a D in the course the first time. I have to come to find out that I have missed the deadline for registering! What should I do as I plan to apply this August and this will hurt my gpa.

Did you miss the registration for summer semester? Or fall semester? If you missed summer semester, I would say apply for the fall semester and list this as a course in progress. If you missed registration for the fall semester and have exhausted all options with admissions at your school, then you will need to weight your GPA with other stats such as the MCAT and decide what your best course of action is.

I am not 100% sure about how AACOMAS and/or targeted schools judge passing grade. Is a "D" satisfactory for "passing" for pre-requisites or is this not the case? I would double check, because I believe every single medical school requires you to have physics 2 either completed or in progress. However, if a "D" doesn't count as completion, then you need to make sure you are enrolled in physics 2 for your Fall semester..actually, you should do this anyway. Hurry, Hurry! Time is running out!

No, a D is unsatisfactory. I have already registered to take the course for the Fall. Meanwhile I've asked the institution would an override be possible as I barely missed the deadline.
