Need help; Place to live in suburban of Philly.

Hi people.

I have been living most of my life in Maryland and I don't know any places in suburban area of Philly. Since I got accepted into Jefferson, I'm now looking for an apartment in Philly.
If you know much about Philly not downtown area but suburban area, can you give some information where should be a good town for a young married couple?
My budget for rent is $ 900~1200, and think of commuting time that ranges 20~30min by either train or car.

I can't imagine commuting into Center City from the suburbs to go to school everyday (traffic on Sure-Kill Highway, parking, etc) but that's just me. But you can always take PATCO or something.

I am also attending Jefferson in the fall. I live in Bensalem. It is about 25 minutes away, but with AM traffic, it will take about an hour. You can check it out, but south Jersey (Camden county) might take a little less time with traffic.
