Need Help..... Please Advice....

Hi All, I am prospective student for this upcoming year and will be attending UF. I received an email today about 2 Prereqs needed and were Genetics(lab 1cr) and Biochem (lab 1 cr). I graduated last year but have not took these classes. The university I took genetics ( not lab) and biochem (not lab) at my university but they were 3 cr classes. Acc. to UF prereqs they need 4 cr hours of these classes. I checked UF undergrad course description and found out that they offer the same class I took for 4 cr hour ( gen and biochem). I would like to know if any of you were in my same situation and what you had to do. I thank you for your time and advice. Thanks.

I would try calling UF and explain them about your situation.. For me, I was short on few credits in chemistry section because of the nature of my school's chemistry program, and they were completely fine with it.

For taking the labs, you should consider taking them at a community college if UF accepts credits from community colleges.

I don't think they would that strict about the pre-reqs as long as you have enough background to do well on DAT. A lot of schools also didn't care for the fact that I had only 4 English credit because I am an anthropology major and I take a lot of writing heavy classes.

So... You got into UF Dental and you haven't finished their pre-reqs? I'd get that done if I were you. Call UF and ask them if it's important to finish the pre-reqs... I'm pretty sure they're going to say yes.
