hi!
I am a Doctor from India. I have degree of M.B.B.S,(bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery) M.D in biochemistry and Ph.D in Biochemistry. and i have 25 years of teaching and research experience in biochemistry. I dont want to go through USMLE and dont want to practice as a physician. So anyone has any idea what are my chance of getting job here, where i should apply. i have some clue that one can get job as a research assistant but i dont know how true it is. so if anyone know about such situations pls let me know. i will really appriciate.
thanks.

If you have a phd in biochemistry and have a visa why would you want to work as a research assisitant. why don't you apply for a job at a university.

EH.

Yeah...you can apply for professorship or status as a primary investigator...everything that a PhD allows you to do. It's the MD (MBBS) that's regulated in the US, not PhDs. Although if you want to do research, the MD is the same as a PhD for clinical populations. There's tons of Indian PIs working in the US.
