Need help understanding timeline

I think it might be too late in the cycle to just now submit a primary.
It does take a while for AACOMAS to verify your application. It might be faster now since now many people are verifying primaries at this stage, maybe in a few days schools will receive your app.
Its hard to say but I think its very late in the cycle, even for DO.
I may be wrong but someone else can chime in.

It depends on the school. DO cycle runs later than the MD cycle, however, it is best to get your application in before Thanksgiving. I know schools have deadlines up to March 1, but the later you submit, the greater likelihood you end up interviewing for a waitlist seat. Last year, ARCOM's seats were full by mid-January.

Anyone have any other insight?
It is too late to apply now even for DO unless you don’t mind going to those new DO schools. Your stats are competitive for all DOs and even MD schools given your ECs are good. Why not wait until next cycle and apply so you can have more school options. You want to give yourself the best chance possible to get into the best school. You are limiting yourself by applying now. Given your stats, you probably have already applied to MD and are still waiting to hear back for II correct?

If I submit my primary today, and complete the secondary the same day I recieve it, when do you think I will hear back about an interview?
MCAT 516 GPA 3.4 ORM. Thanks.
About six weeks at my school. And by the time that you'd actually interview, it would be Mar/Apr, and we get very picky then.

I suggest that it is indeed too late in the cycle, and that you should start preparing for your re-app. This time, have DO schools on the list.

Your GPA is not competitive for most MD schools. SDNers should also avoid the trap of thinking that without a rising GPA tend in a case like this, a high MCAT does not salvage a low GPA...it merely accentuates the disparity between the two stats.
