Need help with applyin to unis ....

i would like to do the BS/MD program, and im kinda confused, im an international undergraduate student, and i would prefer to study in CA (LA), but i couldn't find any unis that offer that program?!! did i search enough?? i mean like are there no unis in CA that offer BS/MD ... i really need help as most uni's deadline is over or is near ...

i currently live in MD .. (Sucks big time) i've applied to howard, just encase i don't get somewhere else .. and i really need all the help i can get, i mean the whole applying & stuff that needs to be done is givin me a hard time

The AMCAS has a website for BS/MD schools. If there are none in California, then you won't be going there. I know that there is one at VCU in Virginia so check out the requirements for this program. I don't know if your international status is going to make a difference.

You are right, there are none in the state of Maryland. College Park had a program where you were allowed to apply early to Maryland Baltimore if you were competitive enough, and would get your BS during your time in med school, but thats the closest thing you'll find here (maybe your best option because its pretty late to apply to most BS/MD programs now). Other programs I remember looking at when I applied to college: Northwestern, Penn State, and Brown. Penn State i think was 6 yrs, Northwestern's is 7, and Brown is 8 (you need to do all 4yrs of ugrad, but they allow you into their med school after minimal performance on gpa/mcats, pretty good deal looking back.) PS I also remember getting set to apply to Howard's prog in HS, but my pops was against that (a Howard med grad himself...I'll withhold details for another discussion). I mention this only for anecdotal purposes, I liked Howard a lot when I was applying to med school.
