I'm an ms2 and have completely lost my neuroscience block (neuro, psych, optho, neurosurg) for personal reasons. I mean I literally know next to nothing. With boards coming up I've been really depressed and anxious about what to do to learn this material for Step 1. I will have 3-3.5 months to study and would really like to use the Taus method. This anxiety is seriously affecting my sleep and current coursework 🙁🙁 Any Suggestions and tips are greatly appreciated.

also any tips for someone weak in micro/pharm will be helpful as well.

thanks a lot everyone.

High Yield Neuro is a good book.
If you are lacking foundation, try BRS Neuroanatomy, which is essentially a longer version of the same thing.

For Psych, I used FA for the Wards, Psych (called something like that).

Maybe overkill for the boards, but a good source if you have time.
There is a high yield behavioral science book which probably is better for just the boards.

Hope that helps.

I've heard that brs neuro and hy neuro are good for peopl with solid foundations. Any other options for neuro for people with little knowledge of the subject?

I had the same problem too and I watched Kaplan video and the neuro section of the anatomy book. Now I'm getting almost all the questions on neuro. Dr. White is great. he's the one who wrote the HY neuro too. Gl.
