I am looking for a program with national visibility, plenty of fellowships including derm, and the chance to proceed to either academics or private practice. Secondarily, I would like a good balance between AP and CP, and to live in an urban area with suburban options.
In no particular order, here are my top choices/thoughts:
Emory - good AP and CP, nice city.
UPMC - plenty of fellowships, ??city
Northwestern - committed PD, in nice part of city
UChicago - renown faculty, in bad part of town
Duke - good reputation, great residents, weak CP??
Cleveland Clinic - only do AP for a year, then CP for a year... bad city
Vanderbilt - concerned about Surg Path hours
Indiana - plenty of fellowships, laid-back residents
UTSouthwestern - awesome PD, nice city, plenty of fellowships
Thank you for your thoughts!
