Non-trad, have been out of school and holding down a job for the last few years.
Undergraduate school: Non-HYP Ivy
Status: Asian, UT resident, parents are CA residents and I grew up there
GPA: BCPM 3.52 (3.0 freshman GPA but 3.7+ last two years) total 3.59
MCAT: 520
Research: 3 years paid full time in different labs. Mostly worked on pilot projects that are a ways from publication, so no manuscripts. Good LOR from current PI.
Clinical experience: 300+ hours hospital volunteering with direct patient interaction. Good LOR from here as well. 40 hours shadowing with 2 primary care and 1 specialist, have other specialists lined up.
Community Service/leadership: counselor at camp for refugee children, 3 semesters teaching assistantship for introductory biology
ECs and hobbies: Fishing and archery. Limited because I support myself financially (parents don't approve of career choice). My research jobs all involved being on call and/or PM and weekend hours.
