Q.How many cusps are present in primary maxillary 1st molar?

can some one please tell me exactly whether its 2 or 4?

bcos in the decks it says it resembles premolar from crown aspect and molar from root aspect and its distofacial and distolingual cusps are indistinct?

so if a question is asked we shud answer it as 2 or 4?????

plz clarify this?????

it will be of gr8 help
thnx

Though the primary maxillary 1st molar resembles a premolar it has 4 cusps. If it did not have 4 cusps it wud be called as a premolar ( bicuspid) but this is not the case . Answer it as 4 without any doubt !!
