I have done my BDS from India. I want to proceed my studies in USA please let me know what all the options available. Should I have to do DDS or are there any other master programs which I can do.

If I have to do DDS, what are the preliminary steps to be taken?

I believe in Minnesota and California, you can try to take the boards and get licensed for just those states. Otherwise, you'll have to either enroll in an IDS or DDS program, the former of which is extremely competetive. I'm not that well informed on the subject however. Try asking in the international forum to get a better answer.

In California, international dentists can no longer just take the bench exam. You must enroll in a 2 year dental school program and get a United States DDS in order to be eligible for licensure. Don't know about other states.
