Hi Everyone.

I am apply to pharmacy school this year and I am in the process of writing my personal statement. However, I dont know where to begin. Can anyone help me or does anyone have any sample essays by chance.

Thanks in advance, Kris

I think saying that you are cute, smart, and will be a darn good pharmacist should suffice. Unless of course, you are not one of those qualitites.

My real advice is to keep putting words on the paper. Use a mixture of things you know the admissions committee wants to hear and things you feel are important for them to know about you. Everyday reread what you wrote from what a adcom person would think of your essay until it's where you want it to be. An average personal statement, in the minds of the admission committee, is probably not that bad of a thing. I think it just needs to be on the same level as your grades, pcat, interview, etc. I think they look for consistency across the board.

Hope this helps!

You could try looking at sample medical school essays. I don't know of the book but it's out there. However, my career counselor suggested that you should formulate your own ideas first before looking at references. You don't want to be at risk for plagerism.
