Hello future and current NYCOMers!!!
Congrats on your acceptances to NYCOM...I'm actually graduating from NYCOM and the house I've lived in for my entire time at NYCOM has 4 rooms for rent if any of you are interested. Some information is below about the house. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me at [email protected].
As of now, a soon-to-be 4th year Neuroscience Predoctoral Fellow will be living at the house and will be subleting the available rooms. She will be a good resource about NYCOM and classes...and will actually be teaching some of your lectures 😉
It's a two story, 4 1/2 bedroom / 2 full bathroom house in Hicksville
(15 minutes from campus and near all the malls/restaurants)
Landlord is really cool....and loves students!
Rent and description for the rooms are listed below:
Room 1: approximately 12ft x 13ft, $600/month + utilities
Room 2: approximately 10ft x 12ft, $600/month + utilities
Room 3: approximately 9 ft x 11 ft, $600/month + utilities
Room 4: approximately 8 ft x 6 ft, $300/month + utilities (this room is good for those of you living in the tristate (especially NJ) area that will only need a room close to school for weekdays)
More Info:
+dishwasher, +fireplace, +Washer/Dryer, +1 car garage, tons of free parking, nice residential neighborhood, safe and great neighbors!
In case you are wondering, utilities are as follows: Oil, Electricity, Cable/Phone/Wireless Internet (optimum package through optimum online).
The utilities are split evenly amongst all members of the house. They average from $60 - $100 per month depending on the oil bill, obviously oil is mostly used in the winter months for heat.
House is ready as of June 1! Upon signing you need 1st, last and one month security (so multiply your rent x3 to calculate how much is due at signing).
Again, if you have any questions or would like to drop by and see the place, feel free to email me - it's [email protected].
Good luck house hunting!
