Hey there I need help editing my big 5 caribbean personal statements and making them really stand out. I'm not a very good writer and my personal statement is a topic I'm not comfortable with sharing to my friends or others who could help me. It's about an illness my father had that no one aside from my family really knows about which is why I'm coming to an anonymous forum to ask for help! There are 6 different essays that I need to write for the schools AUA, AUC, SABA, ST. GEORGE'S, ROSS. All the experiences you write about must be verifiable so it's not a good idea for someone to steal it.

It's not like it'll be any different from the offers that you get around here. They're all anonymous people on the internet after all.

It is legit, but if you are worried, just try to find a reader who has already been accepted into med school (they have no need to steal your PS). Look at the post history and the MDApps of a user to verify. If they have a year of post history that indicates that they were applying/accepted last cycle with an MDApps to back it up, they're probably telling the truth. I don't think someone would post for an entire year and weave a huge lie just so that you'll email them your PS.

Since no one else has directly said it, you really, really shouldn't go to the Caribbean, OP. Long story short you'll probably either fail out (not doubting you personally, but attrition rates are ridiculous) or fail to match and be left with tons of loans and a useless degree. The data places like SGU put out is deliberately spun to give the impression that success is not only possible but reasonable to attain from a Caribbean school. In reality the latter is a blatant falsehood and the former is growing shakier every year. If you do happen to match you may be relegated to a program and more likely an entire field you don't desire.

Don't waste your time writing essays for for-profit offshore schools, spend your time planning your successful application or work toward application to US DO schools (assuming here that it's a numbers issue keeping you from being competitive at domestic MD schools.)

i'm applying to D.O. of course as well as caribbean. How is the data spun? They seem to have decent match rates...i went to a very competitive, tough university with little support so thats why i'm not really afraid of the caribbean
