Quick background: Did horrible in high school. Was immature, didn't bother preparing myself for college, etc.. Joined the military (Army) right after high school, served two tours in Iraq, and after 5 years decided to get out.
Here I am now, 23yrs old, in my 2 term of community college. I'm still working on many of the prerequisites for upper level classes.
Knowing that even applying to the Pharm.D. program in Oregon is still a few years away for me, I'm trying to get insight as to
what I should start doing now rather than later. I have a few common sense ideas, but sometimes the common sense way isn't always the right way.
Here is the
Pre-Pharm student handbook for Oregon State University. Page 11 shows the outline of what I figure I should
follow closely. - I plan on transferring to OSU once I get enough Community College credits to show that I'm capable when I apply.
Some questions I've been asking myself:
- Should I become a Pharm. Tech?
- What kind of volunteering work should I do? (Not sure if Pharm. schools look for certain things)
- What should I focus on early to better prepare myself for the future?
Any advice, links, or anything in general will be a big help.
Thanks!
