I graduate this semester with my B.S. in Health Science. I still need Orgo 1&2 and Physics 1&2. I wanted to start Physics 1 next semester but at my University and every one I researched I will need Pre-calc as a pre-req (which I don't have yet). However My local CC said I would be able to take Physics 1 next semester without it. So basically should I take it at the CC next semester or take precalc next semester and take it next fall? (I refuse to take Physics in the summer). Thanks for the help

I think if you call and ask you may take precalc and PHY together.

I think they want it before. I thought the whole point of them making you take pre-calc is to prepare you for the arithmetic in Physics? Also, I'm not too confident in taking two math heavy classes at the same time (math is definitely not my strong point).

Does anyone else have any input?

be careful about CC. Some schools have limits on CC credits accepted and some like Tufts will not accept any CC credit in prereqs. (so if you plan to take phy in a CC, take Tufts off your list of schools to apply to next year.)

Be smart and try to take all courses at a 4 year school to cover yourself. I dont think there is any advantage to take prereqs in CC.
