hi am a cabadian student
we just got our 1sr semester marks and i am really deepressed.
i think i have no chance of ever even getting an interview.

Study harder, talk to a counselor, reassess your future in relation to your skills. Come back to us with a 3rd year GPA and an OAT score and we'll be able to give you more help. But for now your best advice is going to come from someone at your school who will be able to counsel you through your classes and whatnot.

don't get so discouraged. I got a D in one of my general chemistry classes (retook it and got an A). I also had C's but i still got an interview for all the schools I applied to except for suny (but they just want me to retake the oat). What's important is that you do better this semester and continue improving. Also show your passion for optometry by interning and not letting bad grades get in your way. Keep striving to do better. Bad grades are gonna happen once in a while but you need to assess why you got those bad grades, change what you did wrong, and improve. There's no where you can go now but forward 🙂 So talk to your counselor, see when you can make up that D then find out what you need to change so that you can get them As! 🙂 gluck!
