i am not really quite sure what schools are in my range of acceptable, and i was wondering if someone could tell me some schools that fit my poor stats or at least point me in the right direction in finding out which schools

pretty much i want to go to allopathic somewhere in the USA

i am from california, 3.2 gpa (sci and cum) 36r mcat, ~200 hours clinical volunteering, scattering of extracurriculars on the side but none that are especially important in terms of medical school (stuff like rugby and fraternity)

so, pretty much, if anyone could tell me what schools i had a moderate chance of getting into or at least tell me where to find such information, itd be greatly appreciated.

also, when should i aim for getting in my application? everything is done except for letters of rec, they should all be in by the end of june (hopefully), is this too late?

thanks

also, how important is shadowing? because i have none, if its really crucial to the application process, how should i go about getting shadowing experience?

What about shadowing, leadership, teaching, and nonmedical community service? How many years of research do you have?

Why are your GPAs low? Is it due to one bad semester? Do you have a two year upward grade trend?

Have you given consideration to spending a year on GPA repair and EC building before you apply? When should you submit your application? Ideally a year from now, from what you've told us so far.

You do have a lovely MCAT score, but don't let it go to waste; make your application the best it can be before you apply.

With a 3.2 and minimal ECs, I'd recommend waiting until next year to apply. Raise that GPA with as many As as possible and be sure to pick up some more ECs. Shadowing, research and non-clinical volunteering are all great things to pick up.

i realize i would be a better candidate next year, but i am going to apply anyways this year and if i dont get in, there is always next year.

in terms of letters of rec, i have two really solid ones, and 1 more average one. the problem is, i have a feeling the average one, which is written by my volunteering comittee, will not come in till late july if even on time at all. is late july too late to turn in an application for early decision?

also, i didnt have one bad year or anything, i just consistently got B's with scatterings of A's in there.

my ec's are pretty lame, rugby, vice president of fraternity, recreational volleyball all the time, regent's scholarship, asuci intern, 200 hrs medical volunteering, like 50 hours of tutoring/playing with little kids. not much else to say. i like hot pockets, haha.
