ok...so i promised to help out my anatomy teacher from india. She wanted some resources to improve the anatomy department in mainly the teaching area. she wants to take charge and motivate the department along with the head of the department as well. Can you guys suggest anything computer based teaching materials (virtual dissetion kits, histology, gross etc)...just something to make learning anatomy not so boring and to keep the interest of the students cause i know last year i was sleeping half the time in class, lol. Thank guys for all the help in advance.

here's 2 programs i found interesting when learning anatomy & histology

1. VH dissector pro
2. HistoTime

perhaps adopt a problem-based curiculum where you're learning around a case study. it might make learning more "meaningful"

definitely go to the umich website. uwisc also has great videos, which are actually downloadable for offline use, unlike umich: http://www.anatomy.wisc.edu/teaching.html
Loyola's site also has some stuff:
http://www.meddean.luc.edu/lumen/MedEd/grossanatomy/

Your teacher should perhaps include clinically relevant examples... or perhaps project dissected specimens as she's teaching.

ps- your info says california and india? why did you decide to go to another country for school? (it's an interesting choice! I've never heard of anyone doing it, except for the Caribbean) what have your experiences been so far?

thanx guys for all the help. Oh yeah...um dont flame me but i decided mainly to go just because i was already behind in my schoolwork at UCI, i was afraid it was going to take too long and i just got involved with the wrong types of people down there. So i decided to extricate myself out of the situation before it passed the point of no return (which was really close) and i made up my mind to leave and go to india. It was hard at first to adjust to the teaching style (but socially not cause im of indian heritage and im pretty much local over there) but i got used to it and ive never been happier. Now im a second year student enjoying my spring vacay back in cali. Oh, as for people not going..a TON are..half the kids in my town left after i did...i guess they were waiting for someone to leave, lol.
