My GPA is about a 3.75
Science GPA is about a 3.7
MCAT 30M

200+ hours of hospital volunteering,
average amount of research,
various hobbies/non related extra-curricular activities.

I'm looking at MDs, as I think I am competitive enough for them.

What are some schools that are in my range? Not necessarily a guaranteed admission but some I'd be competitive at.

All contributions appreciated.

Buy the MSAR and start looking at schools. I started off adding ones based on location and then I took off the ones I had no shot of getting into because of low stats or because of OOS bias. If you still need schools start expanding to areas you don't particularly like. To start you off check out the Philadelphia schools (Drexel, Jefferson, Temple), a few New York ones (Albany, NYMC, Albert Einstein), and Chicago schools (Rush, Loyola). I think most of these should be around your range and in pretty desirable locations (at least they were for me).

Also with thousands of over qualified applicants for a hundred or two hundred spots there isn't a such thing as guaranteed acceptances.

What state are you a resident?

What is the breakdown of your MCAT?

How were your OChem I and II grades?

How were the rest of your pre-req grades?

Do you have good LORs lined up?

do you have any geographical limitations? (such as within 5 hours of Chicago?)

All 10s on MCAT,

OChem I and II were B+ and B, respectively.

Rest of my prereq grades were pretty parallel with my overall science GPA.

Yes I do think I have pretty good (perhaps not spectacular) LORs.

No particular geographical limitations.

My university is in california.

Thank you.

Credited. AE may be tough though.

When you say that your college is in Calif, does that mean that you're also a resident of that state?

Obviously, apply to your home state SOMs, but if those are Calif SOMs, then acceptance can be especially difficult. Apply to the midtier private SOMs....Creighton, Loyola Chicago, Med Col of Wisc, SLU, Temple, etc. And, Rosy Franklin or NYMC.

If you're a female, you might try some of the OOS publics that want more females. U South Alabama wants more females, and altho they will favor instate, they do encourage OOS applicants with at least a MCAT 30 and 3.5 GPA.

I think the Ivies and Stanford will sneer at your MCAT score, but I'd say you're fine for any decent mid-tier school, or your state school, depending upon where you live.

Wash U comes to mind first
Creighton
U Louisville
U NV-Reno
Rush
East VA
Loma Linda
VCU
Wayne State

Probably regional bias for the last two.

Unless the student is a URM or has some other hook, I doubt WashU will even interview. WashU loves high MCAT scores.

You can't be serious about WashU...?
