Hey all,
To begin, here are my stats:
Overall GPA: 3.55
Science GPA: 3.43
MCAT: 29Q (V: 8 P:10 B:11)
Lots of research experience with publications, a year of ER volunteer/shadowing experience, and excellent LORs.
New York Resident
Graduate of a top liberal arts school in 2011

I applied late last year (september/october) to ~25 schools and got 2 interviews. Was on pre-interview hold at >6, and am currently waitlisted at one of the schools I interviewed at, but my chances do not look too good, as I am an out of stater, and its a tiny school.
I am planning on applying to DO schools this cycle, submitting within the next few days (I have re-written my essays and obtained new LORs), but I am also considering re-applying to some MD schools. Can my poor luck with interviews be attributed to my late application? My pre-med advisor says I should re-apply without taking it again, and I should have more interviews.
Any advice? Really looking for some guidance...

Broadly means a fair amount, maybe 20... 25... include DO schools, you should be fine, but your App should have been in on June 1st. Get to it
