Like everyone else, I wanted to get some advice onto whether to even try to apply for medical school.

Currently I am a third shift pharmacist, 2 journal publications, 2 poster presentations, over 100 hours of volunteered community service.

MCAT 19M then 23O
3.5 science GPA 3.2 non-science GPA

3 letters of recommendation from my pharmacy school teachers and 2 letters from the MD I work with.

I figured that my chances for MD school are virtually wiped out. I was talking to a few people and some suggested DO school or the caribbeans. Honestly, I am really want to avoid the caribbeans.

So should I even try for DO? Is ther an MD school in the US that would even consider my application? Any advice wold ge GREATLY appreciated.

If you are a fluent Spanish speaker, you might have a chance at some Puerto Rican schools, but for practical purposes, mainland MD schools are not going to consider you as you are.

Does the GPA you provide include all your Pharm coursework and any separate undergrad coursework too? Do you relize that the portion of the Pharm program that is considerd graduate level work would be divided out into the grad column, the rest would be undergrad. It is the undergrad coursework you are judged by. Does that change the number you gave us? What is your composite undergrad GPA by these guidelines and what is your BCPM? Keep in mind that 3.66 is the mean GPA for those accepted to allopathic med schools (30.8 for MCAT). For DO the average is 3.48 (26.09 for MCAT).
