Hello,
My MCAT is tomorrow, and my practice MCAT's (AAMC) have been in an acceptable range but not the range I would like (35+). I expect about a 30-32 on the MCAT, which I know is "ok" but it is not the best. I am only trying to get into UB Medical school (or Rochester) so should I sign up for the next possible date as soon as this one is over? On a side note, when am I allowed to register for a second MCAT if I am currently taking one tomorrow?
Is a July MCAT going to hurt my chances? Can I submit my application with the current MCAT score (around June 22) or wait until I get my second score? Does AMCAS update the medical schools with the new scores once they come in?
Thanks,
PS: GPA: 3.5sci and 3.7non-science (With a MAJOR upward trend, 2.9 freshman year to 3.72 sophomore year, and 3.9 junior year🙂 I am a dual major of Zoology and Philosophy, have three conference presentations of my own research, a publication going in for review in July (Population Genetics), an additional semester of mitochondrial protein import research, and ~250 hours of shadowing, with ~100 of it being clinical.
Thanks!!!
