Since NY did away with the requirements to take the NERB and replaced it with residency requirements how are people managing to take the NERB to practice in other states?

As of right now, most NY dental schools are still offering the NERB for its graduating 4th years. This may change with time, but I would imagine it would be fought greatly as most of the schools in NY take a decent proportion of its students from out of state. If you are from out of NY state and wish to attend a NY school, I wouldn't worry to much as I am fairly certain most will keep offering it. I know Buffalo will be offering it this year. It's something you could certainly call the schools and ask about.
What I'm worried about is that they will eventually do away with the NERB prep class and leave us enrolling in dental school fall 2008 out in the cold.
