I just took my interview at IU (September 5th) and got bombarded with ethical questions. I have no idea how I did. Please someone help me with reassurance. What's the lowest stats that people have entered medical school with (specifically MCAT scores) that are recent. 3.75uGPA 3.6 science GPA, 29O mcat (11,8,10). I have secondaries out and I am strongly considering retaking the MCAT first thing in January!!!!!

Just settle down. You're still high off of the adrenaline of interviewing. Have a beer, wait a(nother) week, and then think about all these steps. Everything that you could do to help your chances, you've done. Congrats, and now either prepare for the next one, or give yourself a pat on the back. And a vacation. The MCAT planning can wait awhile.

Well tell us how you did in your interviews. How did you answer those tough questions?

What "tons of posts"? 😕

Where else are you interviewing?

I didn't mean to say tons of posts, I think my brain was fried sorry 😛. I got interview questions that related to the current events of medicine as well as the future ethics of technology. (i.e. Would you put a computer chip in your brain to expand your memory capacity in order to do better in Medical School?)
I answered no, because I wouldn't want to cheat myself from learning the material and I would want to do well without any artificial aid.

-the follow-up question was what if the rest of your medical class elected to have the memory chip, would I still not do it?
I didn't want to alter my argument so I said no I wouldn't and followed up with my reasons.
Then somehow we started talking about blood doping and steroid usage in sports. Basically, I got really lost and everything I "studied" for about the interview was pretty much useless.

-I got interviews at Drexel, Loyola, and Louisville so far.

I am in a similar situation as you. I have a 29 MCAT (11/8/10) and just had my first interview a few days ago. I felt ok coming out of the interview but now that I have had more time to think about it, I'm starting to worry that I did not do as well as I thought. Anyway, you should feel lucky that you have other interviews. Those are opportunities for you to correct mistakes that you think you might have made during your first interview. I have not had any other interview offers yet, and I'm just trying hard not to obsess about this first one. Anyway, have you checked out this other thread yet? http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=351659&highlight=mcat+under I think it will make you feel a lot better. Congrats and good luck during your other interviews!
