Netbook for class?

Does anyone use one as their main computer for taking notes, surfing the web, etc.? How is it working for you? Is it fast enough?

I use a netbook, but I don't take notes on it or anything. Mainly I use it to distract myself. I prefer to write my notes on my syllabus.

I've used it to open Powerpoints and write notes on the Powerpoints. I have no problems with it at all.
