Anyone know anything about NLP? I recently got into it and was wondering if any of you have also read about it. Any good books about it? From what I can see, it's mostly based on anecdotes. Are there any studies to support their claims? It seems that NLP was popular in the 80's and have faded since then. Anyway, it's pretty interesting.

Yes it is, as is leaky-gut syndrome for autism, schizophrenogenic mothers, and eating disorders caused by stress during family dining. All pseudoscience. This does not mean these do not work as we all know placebo can be quite effective, but they have no scientific support. 😉

I'd recently attended this introductory lecture to NLP n found it totally avoidable...kinda like old wine, new bottle, except what I got was definitely not wine

Surely you wouldn't say those things about Margo Anand's form of NLP called SkyDancing Tantra. I don't see how you could see SDT as pseudtoscientific.

Wow I didn't know such things also existed in the US! I'm not into yoga , so don't know for sure..You know it sounds surreptiously similar to the Osho Ashram we have near Bombay.
