I am a third year and am trying to look into some neuro programs in the Southeast. Academics non-withstanding, I really want a program where the residents go to bat for each other. Needless to say that is not always the case 🙁 Any advice about good prgrams in the area?

Emory. Duke. UNC. Miami. UAB.

I heard that Emory, Baylor, and UAB are great. Heard Wake Forest is a smaller volume program, but good... Some former students said Duke and Vanderbilt were research oriented, rather than clinically oriented, but that might be what you are looking for... Most of these programs have friendly residents (per friend who interviewed last year)..
