I m an undergrad. taking neurobio at my school (mcb 160 at cal). The class is pretty indepth and seems like its going to be intense. We are learning about how ur brain and neurons are wired like circuits. Seems like we will go very in depth.

Will med school go into this much detail (in the neuro course)? We are actually calculating currents across ion channels. Capacitance of neural membranes....etc.

Yes, and you will cover the above in about 2 days (will see it in Phys too), then on to Nueroanatomy, various/numerous tracts, nueropharm, sleep, aphasias, disorders, lesions......... you get the point. I've never had an undergrad class come close to the intensity of a med school class. A few masters level did (namely Microelectronics). 4 undergrad classes might be like taking gross anatomy..... and that seems like child's play when you get to 2nd yr.

Yea, we covered that in the first 2 lectures also Nearst equation, Goldman-hodgkins-kate equation.....etc. Not too difficult, but just wondering if i would ever use it later.
