What is the policy regarding getting dual boarded in both stroke and neurocritical care. I believe I read somewhere that in the past you could sit for both boards but now you are no longer able to do this. Are there any programs that combine both into a 3 years fellowship?

Not sure about stroke+neurocritical combined, bit there are few other options:

Combined fellowship of interventional and neurocritical care: Three years duration. Pre-requisite is completion of a neurology residency. In the first two years the fellow will obtain a certificate of neurocritical care with special qualification in diagnostic neurointervention. The third year focuses on interventional procedures.

Thanks for the link. I know there are a few programs that do the interventional along with the NCC/stroke fellowship. I am just wondering if there is a way to do a folded NCC+stroke fellowship together.

I think I saw some thread about this in the past. IIRC you use to be able to sit for both boards but that changed recently as you are only able to sit for each one after completing that particular fellowship. I am not sure of a combined program, but I'm sure most programs would be willing to work with a resident to come up with something.
