Neurological disorders vs. orthopedic injury

It's two different diagnoses, neurological disorders deal with issues of the nervous system while orthopedic impairments can deal with actual injury to the muscle tissue, bone, ligaments, cartilage etc... however often time, the two intertwine. The musculoskeletal system is ultimately controlled by the nervous system, an athlete for instance that has an orthopedic injury that led to disuse of the involved muscle and compensation by other muscles might benefit from neuromuscular control exercises to promote use of the targeted muscle
