The full NRMP 2013 match data won't come out until later this year. However, already on NRMP they have regional data about the match. Just had some fun with the data and thought I would share it with those who are curious:

PGY 1 neurology: 361 offered, 16 unfilled (4.4%)
PGY 2 neurology: 331 offered, 11 unfilled (3.3%)
Total unfilled: 27/692= 3.9%

2012 regional match statistics
PGY 1 neurology: 292 offered, 3 unfilled (1%)
PGY 2 neurology: 346 offered, 12 unfilled (3.5%)
Total unfilled: 15/638= 2.4%

2011 regional match statistics
PGY 1 neurology 266 offered, 3 unfilled (1.1%)
PGY 2 neurology: 339 offered, 7 unfilled (2.1%)
Total unfilled: 10/605= 1.7%

2010 regional match statistics
PGY 1 neurology: 228 offered, 0 unfilled (0%)
PGY 2 neurology: 357 offered, 22 unfilled (6.2%)
Total unfilled: 22/585= 3.8%

2009 regional match statistics
PGY 1 neurology: 196 offered, 1 unfilled (0.5%)
PGY 2 neurology: 385 offered, 10 unfilled (2.6%)
Total unfilled 11/581= 1.9%

The data for 2013 is from before the SOAP process began and is available in your NRMP profile if you participated this year. I'm not sure at what point the 2012 data was captured.

Happy to see there are more spots being offered this year vs last year (692 vs 638). Also happy to see there are more categorical spots being offered now and hopefully that will continue to increase as more advanced programs become categorical.

Interesting to note that 2013 had slightly more unfilled categorical slots vs 2012 match. In addition, the percent of unfilled spots in 2013 was greater than 2012 (3.9% vs. 2.4%). Unfilled advanced spots are similar between this year and last year.

Hopefully you found this thread somewhat useful. Also, good luck to everyone who finds out where they match tomorrow. Hope you all get your top spot. 👍

Edit: Just came across a old thread that had the 2009, 2010 and 2011 regional match data . Just thought I would throw in that as well so you can make comparisons. Really doesn't say too much, but still interesting to see.

When are the NRMP reports usually released?

There should be new charting outcomes released this year, since the last one was for the 2011 match. I'm really looking forward to seeing that.

If 2012 and 2011 are any indication, it looks like in April we should get the "Results and Data" from the 2013 match.

I believe "charting outcomes" are released late summer (August?) of that year. I'm not 100% sure about that, but that is what I recall.

So what neuro programs initially went unfilled and had to scramble?

I have no idea. I matched so I was not eligible to SOAP. Even if I was able to SOAP, releasing that info would be against match rules.

I think you're right. The last charting outcomes were released in August of 2011.

Yeah, I matched too but I'd like to see what programs went unfilled. Will we know this information after friday?

Good question, however I am unsure when that information will be released whether it is today or in the future. I guess we will find out unless someone knows the answer.
