How much neuroradiology is on the Step 1? Specifically, would I be expected to identify tumor types based on enhancement properties? identify old lacunar strokes?

Similarly, how about soft tissue tumor radiology?

This kind of stuff, to me, seems like it it is difficult enough to require successful completion of a radiology residency to do with any kind of proficiency

Has anyone that has completed the exam seen a question that depended on these skills?

Do these sound like typical skills/knowledge of a second year medical student?

No, they will not give you tumor enhancing properties etc.. and expect you to know exactly what it is, yes you will probably get solid mass, vs solid and cysic vs cystic in the question stem, but they will give you more than that morsel, the image should give you the area and then you are off to the races. Step 1 is not a radiology board exam, if you focus solely on specifics like this (I am not sure where you are in prep) you are going to screw yourself. They don't expect too much clinical knowledge from you, step 1 is the basics,
