Neurosurgery for an IMG.. myth?

Hello everybody..
I am IMG preparing to go through the match of 2011. Now, here's my story: I am very interested in human behavior and cognition and know that I want to deal with the CNS. However, I am a little short-tempered and long-term management of neurology and psychiatry is a bit too much to handle. That's why I was considering the option of NS and specifically the functional NS fellowship. NS is as competitive as we know it is, so I wanted to consult with you about how realisitic it would be for me to match in an okay program, given the following:

Scores: 261/99, 270/99, pass (on step 1, 2CK and 2CS).
Experience: 2nd year in a Combined neurology psychiatry residency program overseas. Observerships in the US in neurology and psychiatry with LORs. (would it matter if I take an extra in NS?)

Thanks.. feel free to elaborate more, if you want, regarding what extra things could be done and equally effective career paths to fulfill my objectives.

I recommend submitting your query to uncleharvey.com. I've met my fair share of excellent IMGs who have gotten into American neurosurgery residencies, and you have all the right scores. It's difficult, but not impossible.
