my personal statement is only 398 words but i can't think of any way to pad it am i doomed to failure? (if i'm going down i'm bringing capitalization with me :meanie:)

I don't think word count is that important -- it's what you say that counts. Better to be short and strong than long and winded.

But if you really want to pad it (which I'm not saying is a good idea), just increase the number of all your adjectives for emphasis. Instead of saying "I am a hard worker", you could say "I am a really hard and extraordinarily disciplined worker".

substitute diligent for "hard" -- just a bit too informal and with innuendo. just a thought.
