  1. Pre-Medical
I have encountered repeated claims that some medical schools require completion of Calculus I and II. I did not take calculus because it was optional at my institution, though recommended prior to physics. I have completed Physics I and II without calculus and earned an A and an A-, and I have one remaining physics course focused on circuits. Given this background, is calculus still necessary for medical school admission? Which medical schools, if any, explicitly require calculus coursework? I have come across conflicting information on this topic and would appreciate clarification.

As far as I can determine, most med schools prefer a Stats course and do not require Calculus. The only exceptions would be the engineering/med schools like TAMU/EnMed, Carle Illinois, or Arizona State

Tell us who made these claims. Did you ask admissions recruiters? Stop relying on reddit or hearsay from people who aren't experts like many of us here are.

I appreciate both of you. Thank you, sincerely. This guidance came from my undergraduate advisors at my community college and after I transferred to the university, which reflects poorly on them. In any case, thank you again.

You can pay for access to MSAR, the medical school admissions requirements assembled by the AAMC. It is available online and well worth the $28/year subscription
