Can anyone explain how the symptoms of carcionid symdrome comes about?

Bronchospasm, flushing, diarrhea, right heart valvular failure.

I understand the diarrhea part as 5HT increases the gut motility.

I was under the impression that 5HT causes arteriolar constriction and vasospasms.

I am unsure how arteriolar constriction can cause flushing, shouldn't it actually cause the opposite?

Thanks in advance!
