Hey guys!

So I'm taking my DAT July 8th and was reading up about the new QR section and found myself a bit confused. Are the new questions not going to be included in my QR/AA scores (taking the test prior to 2016)? Also, will there be no trig/geometry/calculations?

Could anyone who's taken a recent 2015 section comment on how the exam differed from past practice materials? I'm not quite sure how to study and prepare for things like "data analysis." :/

Thank you!

Algebra (equations and expressions, inequalities, exponential notation, absolute value, ratios and proportions, and graphical analysis); Numeric calculations (fractions and decimals, percentages, approximations, and scientific notation); Conversions (temperature, time, weight, and distance); Probability and Statistics; Geometry; and Trigonometry

I took mine a few days ago. I only used the QR section of the 2015 DAT Destroyer and Chad's to prepare. There was nothing too funky on my test. Nothing I would really classify as "data analysis". There were a decent number of conversions though. Definitely study up on those, and then some basic statistics. Those two things were a decent chunk of my test. Maybe data analysis is kind of incorporated into statistics?

Do you know where we can learn all these conversions? Is there like notes somewhere? Or can I just google basic conversions of everything.

Probably just google? Aside from knowing and understanding the metric prefixes, just remember basic ones like kilometer and mile, oz in a cup, etc.

Chad has a good video that covers the expected but

F=(C*9/5)+32
C=(F-32)*5/9
K=273+C
at 0C it is 32F
at -40F it is -40C
2.2lbs in 1 kg
454g in 1 lb
5280ft in 1 mile
1600m in 1 mile

are some easy ones to know, but most you'll do by dimensional analysis.
