the process works , all my letters are submitted to aacomas today . Make sure to email interfolio thoughYeah this was kind of a weird thing for me. I received all of my letters through Interfolio already. I'm going to attempt what becomingdoctor suggested. If that doesn't work I guess I'll have to send each letter individually to the schools. I'm not going to ask my letter writers to go through the process of resubmitting my letters.
good luck everyone, interfolio charges me 4 bucks for each letter. Gonna skip my lunch tmr
Email their help desk email letting them know you just put in a request for a letter to be sent from interfolio to aacomas. The rep has to go into your account and submit the link to aacomas manually . It makes sense emailing them speeds up the process. Good luck , it's really weird how we have to do it this way .What do you mean by email Interfolio?
If you want to save on $$$Why bother using the AACOMAS service if you are already using Interfolio or a career center?

So now I am even more confused... I paid the 4$ to ship the letter to AACOMAS from Interfolio. Then I just got a confirmation email tonight from AACOMAS saying that the letter has successfully been received but another email from Interfolio saying I need to pay $4 to deliver the letter to CAS. Makes no sense for me to pay again if AACOMAS is already saying they have the letter.
so with this process, half life 3 confirmed? sorry, i meant did you see your letters from Interfolio show up on AACOMAS?Need to upload letters of recommendation to an online application system?
We can upload confidential letters of recommendation directly to online application systems on behalf of your recommender. In your Dossier account, click on the letter you need to upload and copy the document email address. Then, paste that email address into the online application system when it asks you for your recommender’s email address. We will take it from there!
So this is what I did.
--I have an old interfolio account with all my letters in it.
--Click on any of the letter I interested, it will generate an email address looks like this [email protected]
--copy that to my aacomas letter request (you will need to type the correct writer's name), but you don't need to type the letter writer's email, instead, write the interfolio email I mentioned above.
--make up a due date and note(doesn't matter but I just put June 1st and note"letter from XXX")
--fingers crossed
yes, it works for me. PM me if you have any question about how it works.so with this process, half life 3 confirmed? sorry, i meant did you see your letters from Interfolio show up on AACOMAS?
Does anyone know at which point you can designate which letters go to which school? Or do you not have that option if you do your letters through AACOMAS? It worries me because when you go to submit, it states that that area will be "locked" after submittal but it never states where or to who those letters are going.
Wow, that does kind of suck. Is anyone on here who has applied or is applying with the letter service through AACOMAS worried about having all their letters go to all their schools? I just know that some schools don't want more than four letters or only want certain kinds of letters and this process kind of ruins that.AACOMAS letter service is primitive compared to AMCAS letter service. Every letter that is locked is sent to every single school, and there is nothing we can do about it. Its so lame.

I made the mistake of asking my writes to all send to AACOMAS and now don't want to have to ask them to send to interfolio.
Well, I'm about to be in the same boat! I have four and one non science.I also asked AACOMAS if they could just not send any of the letters from the service or just delete them. They said they wont. So yea.... schools are about to get a lot more letters than
they anticipated. I have 4 total, but 1 of them is a non science that is just not needed for the majority of schools.

That's a good idea. It would be worth a shot to at least email the admissions people. Maybe they could do something about filtering. I don't know.Oh well I'm thinking about calling them and explaining to them that this caveman level AACOMAS letter system is going to result in them having excessive letters
